Discover our daytime postpartum care

Imagine a postpartum where you feel:

More confident in caring for your baby and responding to their cues

Well-rested and grounded the first few weeks into your recovery

Supported, nurtured, and loved with the same strength you give others

At Repose, our daytime postpartum doula support provides evidence-based guidance on wellness, lactation, and newborn care, focused on building sustainable systems rather than short-term fixes.

The early postpartum period brings constant decision-making—feeding, soothing, sleep rhythms, physical recovery, and the logistics of daily life with a newborn. Even well-prepared families often find that their questions shift once they’re home with their baby.

At Repose, we provide a clear roadmap paired with the calm, non-judgmental support you need to feel grounded. We don't just "help out"; we work alongside you to build your skills and your confidence.

Our goal is simple: to make sure you feel nurtured as a parent while you become the expert in your own home.

"Lorraine...Thank you SO very much for taking care of Ollie last night.  It was such an incredible relief waking up feeling well-rested and as an added bonus coming out to the living room and seeing how clean everything was!  We really appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you again."

Postpartum Doula FAQ

What does a typical daytime session look like?
Our sessions are structured in 4-5 hour blocks. We begin with a check-in on your physical recovery and emotional well-being, followed by hands-on newborn education, covering feeding, sleep foundations, and soothing techniques. We also spend time refining your household systems to ensure your home environment supports your recovery.
How is a daytime doula different from a nanny or babysitter?
Nannies focus on childcare. Repose postpartum doulas focuses on parental integration. We work alongside you to build your skills and confidence, ensuring you have the tools to thrive indpendently when we aren't there.
Do you help with household tasks?
Yes. Light household support is part of nurturing the postpartum family. This may include washing bottles, pump parts, baby laundry, simple meal prep, and organization. Our goal is to remove the stress so you can focus on healing and bonding.
Why do you reccomend only 2-4 days a week?
Our model is designed to prevent the "dependency cliff". By providing strategic support a few days a week, we give you the space to practice your new skills. This ensures that by the end of our time together, you feel like the lead expert in your own home.
How far in advance should I secure a postpartum doula?
Most families secure support during the second trimester to ensure availability and allow time to build a relationship with their doula.
Do you provide overnight support?
Yes! Overnight support is invaluable for establishing sleep routines, helping parents rest, and providing reassurance during the first few weeks.
