Expert foundations for the modern parent.

Seamless overnight support and restorative care for your family from day one.

True postpartum recovery is not just about "getting through the night".  It's about building the skills to thrive long-term.  Sleep deprivation compromises your healing, mood, and lactation, which is why our overnight support goes beyond passive care.  We don't just watch your baby; we architect a sustainable sleep foundation for your entire household.

Our overnight doulas provide expert newborn care through the night. While you receive the deep, restorative rest you need, we are actively implementing the Repose Roadmap, ensuring that by the time our partnership concludes, you are the confident, well-rested expert in your own home.

Recovery is not a luxury; It's the foundation of sustainable parenting.

At Repose, we believe the first 30 minutes of a shift are as critical as the eight hours of sleep that follow. We start by checking in on you, discussing feeding goals, and setting a clear plan for a successful night.

Designed to protect your recovery and optimize your infant’s development from the moment we arrive.

Expert Guidance, 24/7. Repose clients receive a complimentary 12-month Tinyhood membership ($120+ value). This premier streaming platform supplements your in-home care with on-demand, evidence-based masterclasses covering every stage of pregnancy, breastfeeding, & the fourth trimester.

Our #1 frequently asked question is the difference between a doula, night nanny, babysitter or a baby nurse. Baby nurses may also be called night nannies or night nurses. Here's our two cents:

Repose Postpartum Doula

  • Expert Knowledge: Formally trained in postpartum recovery, lactation, and newborn physiology.
  • Integrative Feeding Support: Hands-on help with breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle-feeding.
  • Healthy Sleeep Habits: Building safe routines and natural sleep rhythyms from day one.
  • Sustainable Schedule: A 2-5 night weekly roadmap designed to build your confidence prevent dependency on outside help.
  • Parent-Led Coaching: Learn to read your baby's cues so you remain the expert in your home.

Nanny / Baby Nurse / Babysitter

  • Task-Focused: Mostly basic baby care without formal training or professional credential
  • Limited Feeding Help: Often lack the expertise to troubleshoot breastfeeding or complex feeding issues.
  • Short-Term Fixes: Provides overnight coverage without building a foundation for long-term sleep
  • Reactive Care: Follows your instructions rather than proactively teaching or guiding you.
  • Risk of Dependency: Offering 7-igh coverage can make it harder for you to take over and lead your own home.

Families choose Repose for professional postpartum care and education that supports the entire family, not just childcare.

More FAQs

Clear answers so you feel confident about your postpartum support.

What kind of home set-up do I need for my doula?
You don’t need a special set-up or extra space to receive overnight postpartum doula care. Our doulas are experienced in working within a wide range of home environments and adapt to what feels most comfortable for your family. Typically, we ask for: A safe place for your baby to sleep (crib, bassinet, or bedside sleeper) Access to feeding supplies, diapers, and basic newborn care items We do ask that you provide a flat surface (sofa, recliner, or bed) for our doula to rest when the baby is resting. Care can take place in a nursery, shared living space, or near your bedroom—whatever supports your rest and peace of mind. We’ll discuss your home layout and preferences during your intake so overnight care feels seamless and supportive, not disruptive.
How do overnight packages work?
Overnight care is offered in 8–12 hour sessions. During your intake call, we’ll create a personalized postpartum support plan that outlines the number of nights and overall timeframe best suited to your recovery and family rhythms.
How far in advance should I secure a postpartum doula?
Many families reach out in the second trimester to ensure availability and to allow time to plan support around due dates.
Can I combine daytime and overnight postpartum doula support?
Yes — many families choose a combination of daytime recovery support and overnight newborn care, especially in the first few weeks.
Can I pay with benefits through my job (HSA/FSA, Carrot, Cleo, Maven, etc.)?
Absolutely. If you have an HSA/FSA or Carrot debit card, you can often pay directly after you receive an invoice. If not, we can provide itemized statements to support reimbursement.
How much do overnight postpartum packages cost?
Investment varies based on your family’s needs and the frequency of support. Most families invest around $3,500 or more.

"Lorraine...Thank you SO very much for taking care of Ollie last night.  It was such an incredible relief waking up feeling well-rested and as an added bonus coming out to the living room and seeing how clean everything was!  We really appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you again."
